The New West Cultural Crawl is back by popular demand! Come on down and join us from 11:00am to 5:00pm, August 10th and 11th for this is a free all ages event! This annual festival is fun and entertaining for people of all ages, tastes, and is especially great for families. With it being in its 16th year, the Culture Crawl aids in bringing together the community to celebrate New Westminster’s local artists.
The crawl started out as a single day art walk in 2003, with minimal artists and venues. Now this amazing festival has evolved into a busy and beloved event for everyone. In past years, the Culture Crawl has had around 32 venues across New Westminster, showcasing over 150 wonderful artists! Lucky for us, New West has no shortage of artistic talent, thus the festival continues to grow every year.

If your looking to see a sneak peak of this years breathtaking art work, you’re in luck! Join in on the pre-crawl festivities, which being on Friday, August 9th. There will be a cash bar, wine and cheese party at 100 Braid Street Studios from 6-9pm!
Then on Saturday the real fun begins across New West, as art and cultural facilities leave their doors open and welcome you in! The Culture Crawl is a two day long, self-guided tour of high quality artwork created by local artists. This festival celebrates and displays New Westminster’s creative and distinct side. Furthermore, the Culture Crawl helps assemble the community to enjoy and recognize the featured art coming out of New Westminster!
